These calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type are never sent to us, never stored, and never attached to an email address. There is nothing to sign up for and no result is held back.

Why nothing you type reaches us

Both calculators do their arithmetic in JavaScript on your device. There is no form submission, no request carrying your inputs, and no field that stores them. The pages do load our aggregate website counter, which records only short predefined categories — never a value you entered. Age, sex, weight, height and nightly sleep hours stay in the browser tab and disappear when you close it.

This is the same boundary the app works to, described in full in the privacy policy and the data and AI page.

What a calculator can and cannot tell you

Every one of these produces an estimate from a population equation. It describes what tends to be true of people with your inputs; it does not measure you. Real energy expenditure varies between people with identical measurements, and self-reported sleep is not a sleep study. Treat the output as a starting point to test against your own logs rather than a number to obey — which is the whole method.

None of these is a medical test, and none diagnoses, rules out, or treats anything. Medical questions belong with a clinician.
