Did the timing of recorded activity coincide with sleep timing or quality that night? A question template, not a result — and not a claim that this relationship holds for you.
Why this pairing is worth asking
The popular version of this claim — that training late ruins sleep — is applied far more universally than the evidence supports, and individual responses differ. Intensity usually moves with timing, since evening sessions are often the longer ones, so hold intensity roughly constant if you want timing to be the thing you are actually comparing.
What you would log
Activity time plus sleep timing or a consistent sleep-quality rating.
How long to look
Several weeks with varied but comparable activity days.
What could explain it instead
Activity intensity, caffeine, work schedule, light, meals, and stress.
How to read the result
Any association belongs to you and your current schedule. It is not grounds for a general rule, and it should not override a training plan that otherwise works for you.
Evidence class: A personal timing hypothesis, not a universal exercise rule.
