Daylio is built around mood tracking and micro-journaling. HealthMaxxing is built to keep body, mind, behaviour, and context on one timeline and ask what tended to move together. A tap-first mood diary, compared with a tracker built to connect mood to the rest of the day. HealthMaxxing is not yet released — it is coming soon to iPhone and Android, so everything below describes how it is designed, not a shipped-product benchmark.
How to read this page. Every Daylio statement here was read from that vendor’s own page or store listing on July 24, 2026 and independently re-checked. We describe what Daylio documents about itself — we do not claim what it cannot do, because absence from a feature list is not proof of absence in a product. Where a vendor does not publish something, we say so instead of guessing.
At a glance
| Dimension | Daylio (per its own documentation) | HealthMaxxing (by design) |
|---|---|---|
| Primary focus | Mood tracking and micro-journaling | Whole-self tracking across food, exercise, sleep, hydration, mood, journaling, breathing, and cycle context |
| Free access | A free version exists — Apple’s lookup data returns a price of 0.00 and the listing renders “Free · In-App Purchases”. The vendor states it is “keeping a free unlimited version of Daylio the same as before” and that users can “downgrade to a free version at any time without fear of losing any data.” A 7-day free trial of premium is offered. | Free to download at launch; core body-and-mind tracking free, no credit card required |
| Paid tier | The US App Store lists in-app purchases at $4.99, $17.99, $23.99, $35.99, and $59.99 (USD, US storefront). No billing period is displayed for any of them, so this page does not state which are monthly, annual, or one-time. | HealthMaxxing Pro is optional; price, billing period, and renewal terms are shown in your App Store or Google Play storefront before purchase (see pricing) |
| Cross-domain patterns | The vendor’s statistics documentation describes an “Influence on Mood” view. Its release notes describe a “Scales” feature covering sleep, stress, energy and pain via sliders. | A Pattern Engine that checks defined behaviour→outcome pairs after 7 logged days, with many questions needing roughly 10–14 overlapping days, and which is designed to return “not enough information” and “no clear relationship” as valid results |
| Languages | 34 languages are listed on iOS. No language list is readable on its Google Play page. | 8 at launch: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Arabic, and Farsi (Arabic and Farsi right-to-left) |

What Daylio says about itself
Quoted from the vendor’s own surfaces, read July 24, 2026:
- “Pick your mood and add activities you have been doing during the day. You can also add notes and keep an old school diary.” — US App Store listing
- “This is due to the high privacy 🔒 your data are not on our servers” — Daylio support centre, on data security
Where HealthMaxxing is designed differently
These are statements about our own product, which we can substantiate directly — not claims about Daylio.
- One timeline instead of one lane. Food, movement, sleep, hydration, mood, journaling, and cycle context sit in a single record so a question can cross categories.
- A defined question, not a dashboard. The Pattern Engine tests specific behaviour→outcome pairs over a stated window, names the overlapping observations behind a result, and treats “unclear” as a real answer.
- The method is public. The open pattern protocol sets out how a personal pattern is checked and how uncertainty must be worded, and the claim registry lists what we have not established — including that HealthMaxxing has no published outcome evidence.
- Right-to-left languages at launch. Arabic and Farsi ship with the first release rather than arriving later.
What we are not claiming: that HealthMaxxing improves any health outcome, that a detected pattern shows cause, or that it is better than Daylio for mood tracking and micro-journaling. If dedicated mood tracking and micro-journaling is the job you need done, the specialist tool may well be the right pick.
What we did not verify
Stated plainly, because a comparison is only as trustworthy as its gaps: we did not install or run Daylio for this page, so nothing here describes its in-app behaviour beyond its published documentation. We did not verify prices outside the storefronts named above, and store prices vary by country, promotion, and platform. Where a vendor prints a bare currency symbol, we have not inferred a currency.
